Isilon zone alias and smart connect pool.
I have a 10 node xnode Isilon 7.2.x code. I have many zone aliases with 5 pools created. I need to isolate a zone alias(Testalias) to a specific pool. I need to make sure the zone alias accesses only one pool. Is this the command that I need to run for the alias to only connect to a specific pool? isi networks modify pool subnet0:Testpool --add-zone-aliases=Testalias.corp.ent.xxxx.org
I think you are confusing NFS alias with SmartConnect alias :)
A certain SmartConnect zone alias can only exist in a single network pool in the cluster so you can be sure that you will connect to the correct one if you add it to the pool.
Adding to this, you might have to make changes to your DNS delegation to make the alias work as well.
