Lattitude E6440 Power Button Issue

The power button on our E6440 is newly depressed below the surface of the palm rest cover.

I am assuming that there is a spring below the button. If so, is it part of the palm rest cover assembly or loose below the button?

I didn't want to tear into it before having a replacement part in hand.

Welcome to the Dell Community @Snap51

Looks like it is a board attached to the palm rest.

But I cannot find a separate part number or anyone selling it separately???

    Best regards,

No, it's a button position issue, not an indicator light issue.

Thanks. That vendor confirmed that the assembly is part of the palm rest cover and they are cheap enough (new) to just replace the palm rest cover to keep the old laptop chugging.
