Not booting
- I'm chamika, I have dell latitude D630 laptop, and it's second handed. After I using 6 months it seemed suddenly shut down and not gonna booting the OS. even thought I started several times, the same thing happened.when I started laptop, the Dell logo is run and after suddenly shut down without any warnings. This is so a weird problem I have faced in a laptop my life.
and I read some advises on the dell community just like removing Battery, plunging out ac adapter and pressing power button thirty seconds etc...
But the problem is still happening. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you! I think dell community will help me in this problem.

Hi, thanks for the respond.
My OS is windows 7 professional. I follwed the above steps, but problem has not been solved. Any help would be appreciated.

Please check if your able to get into Advanced Boot Option menu screen by tapping the F8 key multiple times. If you are successful, click on ' Repair Your Computer', you should see a list of recovering tools that might be able to help fix your computer - see link below). If you have a windows 7 recovery CD then you'll see the same recovery tools in it.

If you aren't successful in getting the Advanced Boot Option screen to appear then see if you're able to get into the BIOS setup by tapping F2 key.

Hi chamika
What operating system is on the system? Windows XP, 7 or even 10 ?
In the meantime, try to get the diagnostic tool on computer to run. The tool will check for any defective hardware within the system. You could this by following the steps below:
1. Power off system.
2. Power on system, quickly start tapping F12 key continuously until you see One-time boot menu. In Dell Preboot menu, select Diagnostic. Report back any error code.
Note: If the F12 key does not get Dell Preboot menu, try running diagnostics by pressing and holding the Fn button and power on the laptop and select diagnostics from the list.
