Having loads of fun trying to get my Wireless running on my new Desktop under FC8.
I have used the following link http://fedoranews.org/mediawiki/index.php/How_To_Install_Your_Broadcom_BCM4318_Using_Ndiswrapper in an attempt to get the card recognized and have used the FW Cutters all to no avail (I get as far as iwlist being able to see my access point but not connecting - all security has been removed from the access point for the duration of the testing) and was wondering if anyone has managed to get one of these cards to run under linux and what drivers they used to do so? (I am onto my 6th revision of these drivers and have just downloaded Dell_multi-device_A17_R174291.exe to try again tonight!)
I have just bought a new netgear based usb wireless dongle and am currently burning the latest version of Mythdora so will give that a go first (I am just so over dealing with broadcom cards, had one in my HP lap and the exact same rubbish)
thanks a mill for the link, will keep that for later!!
