Optilex 745 & fedora 8

Hi, I have installed a Fedora 8 server based system on Dell Optilex 745 (ultra small form factor). After two days, the server do respond to any remote operation/connection such as SSH , telnet, or ftp… When I try to log into the server directly, the screen is just  blank as it was on standby…When  I tried to Hardboot, it came with /initd error  and the only option left is to reinstall Operating system (fedora)…. This has happened twice in one week
