Hello! Just istalled Ubuntu Gnome 16.04 and found ot that the trackpad freezes regularly and the only way to solve it if you tap two fingers or restart the computer.
I find that very annoying and if you guys have a fix for that, it will be great.
I installed the latest kernel 4.6RC4, all the synaptics drivers and etc and have read a lot about it online, but still no fix. It's not life-threatening situation, but it annoys me a lot, because I want everything to be perfect :D
More annoying is that sometimes the trackpad makes "random" clicks somewhere on the screen..
Booted live Ubuntu Mate 16.04 and Xubuntu 16.04 and the problem is there also.
It's not a developer edition, it's a Windows edition that I got from Microsoft Store, because they had a very good promotion -31.4% discount on Pi day 3.14.
It will be good if Dell starts making drivers for Linux, not just for M$.
If you have any information on how to fix it, it will be great!

Same here on my XPS 13 9360, the track pad stops working once a day in Ubuntu 16.06 installed by Dell.
Dell has specific Linux drivers though. The laptop is even certified by Canonical.
