Alienware 14 120hz
Hi,
wondering if my Alienware 14 can run 120hz when connected to an AW2210 and/or AW2310 monitor with HDMI? Thinking about gaming in the summer, and I don't have time to travel home to check this out myself right now. I had an m15x some years back, and it didn't support 120hz at all, no matter the resolution.
Btw, I have the gtx 675m graphics card.
Cheers.

You will not get 120Hz through a mini-DP to HDMI cable. HDMI only supports 60 Hz. You will have to use a mini-DP to DVI adapter. Make sure you get an "active" or powered adapter to provide the amplification necessary for 120Hz

Ok, thank you for the response, I will get a hold of a mini-display to hdmi cable before I travel home then.
Pretty sure both monitors run 120hz though, bought them both for exactly that reason; before I knew my m15x didn't support 120hz, hehe...

Yes the Alienware 14 will be able to run 120Hz but only through the Mini-Display port and if I’m not mistaken the monitors that will be able to run 120Hz are the AW2310 and you might need an adapter since they don’t have mini display port.
