Alienware AlienFX Error
Recently I had some issues with Alienware Command Center. I kept getting this error message when starting my computer:
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80040154): Class not registered (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040154 (REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG))
at System.Management.ManagementScope.Initialize()
at System.Management.ManagementEventWatcher.Initialize()
at System.Management.ManagementEventWatcher.Start()
at AlienLabs.AlienFX.DeviceDiscovery.Classes.DeviceWatcherClass.Start()
at AlienLabs.AlienFX.DeviceDiscovery.ObjectFactory.NewAlienFXDeviceDiscovery()
at AlienLabs.AlienFX.Tester.TesterMainForm..ctor()
at AlienLabs.AlienFX.Tester.App.AppStartup(Object sender, StartupEventArgs args)
For a while, my LED's remained lit but my command center was unresponsive. After a while, the LED's went out so I decided to delete command center and re-install. Upon re-installation, I received the same error message as before. Any ideas?

Yes the system restore will be one option; as well I will recommend you to uninstall the command center, shut down the system and perform a power drain, update the BIOS to the latest version you find in the support website and reinstall the command center.
Let us know if those steps help you.

I have another post with my Area 51 R2 having a similar problem. A Windows update went through and now when I try to open Command Center it locks it up. Temps don't show at all but if I leave it alone the old theme I had before restoring to factory still starts up and runs.
