Hi,

When the laptop is connected with the AC adapter and the battery is 100% charged,  the system will draw power from the AC adapter and not from the battery. You could also remove the battery and use the system only with the AC adapter connected.

Is it for sure that if my battery is fully charged and I have it plugged to the AC adapter, the power is drawn from the AC adapter and the battery is NOT depleted nor damaged from this process, even though the battery is IN the laptop?

download the dell battery meter program.  Run that and you can turn off battery charging.

Yes, that is correct. Because the battery is designed to stop using the charger when it reaches full charge. When the AC adapter is plugged into the wall socket, the battery charge is not being used.

Battery will not be damaged as such but battery life depends on recharge cycles. Each battery approximately has 300-500 recharge cycles. Irrespective of the applications that you are working on, battery will show a reduction in performance after an year.
