Alienware R3 13 SSD? Is this ok?

Hello guys, I have just recently purchased a Alienware R3 13. And it came with 1 SSD Drive. 1TB. I Think my alienware has 2 SSD slots so I'm thinking of picking up another to use as a boot drive and leave the 1tb for storage. I have no idea what I need to get but I'm on a  budget. Would this be ok. The M.2 Western Digital Green?

    Hi alphadawg.

    WD Green is a M2 SATA SSD. 540 MB/s Read and 465 MB/s Write.

your current installed M2 NVMe SSD is much faster.

    what you should know:

the first M2 Slot on your Machine is connected with 4 Lanes and the second one with only 2 Lanes. the second Slot is a Bottleneck for all new NVMe SSDs. SATA M2 SSDs would be fine however.

maybe keep your current SSD as a Boot Device and use the WD Green as a Storage Drive.

What brand SSD did your system come with? I just ordered one as well with a 512g SSD and was wondering if I would get lucky and get a Samsung version. It seems like some people get toshiba though.
