Audio problem
Hello! I have an Alienware 14 and here's my problem. When I was on windows 7 and I plugged in my headphones I would get the option to select in playback devices and my laptop would use my headphones mic and sound would play through it. Ever since I upgraded to windows 10 when I plug my headphones in they become known as "Speakers/Headphones". The sound still comes through my headphones however, my laptop uses the integrated mic instead of my headphones mic. I've been trying to find a fix and still no solution.

Hi thanks for responding but:
1. My headphones don't have an option for a mic you just select it in playback and it uses its mic instead of the integrated one.2. I tried to load better drivers but I still get the same thing.
3. That's out of the question because I bought these headphones for $200 and would really like to use them. There Audio Technca ATH m50x by the way.
Thanks for the answers but you got any other fixes?

1. In Control Panel / Sound / Recording ... set Headset's Mic as default and test.
2. Load better driver. If Dell doesn't support Win10-64bit on this machine, you will likely only have Microsoft's driver to work with.
3. Buy a new Windows-10 compatible Headset with a USB connector. It will use it's own internal "sound card" inside itself. It's Mic should work fine.
