Well, you can't actually see that connection because it is hidden when active.

Not sure why they made the hinge so tight. I guess they don't want it to vibrate. Maybe something got bent out of place. Also, double check proper side install and alignment. Mine is a bit tricky.

Unfortunately everything seems to be as it should. There is no gap between the panel and the tower and the PSU is completely seated as well as locked into place. I see nothing that would allow it to not be making contact. All wires are tucked as well.

Did you remove side-panel while power was on. Maybe a circuit blew?.

I assume you checked the Theme in AlienFX?

Only thing I can think of is to remove connector box from panel and press it on there. Then you start testing assembly with volt-meter and ohm-meter. You can also just call Phone Support and handle as warranty, because it doesn't sound like you did anything wrong.

Yeah I actually took the connector off and tried that after I replied to the last message. The light comes on at a certain angle and it's VERY dim

I've been having the same types of issues with my new R6. The side panel lights seem to work only at random times. They are not on constantly like I want them to be. All three zones are active in Command Center. I've uninstalled/re-installed CC with no luck. I don't think it's a connection in the case because the system is stable, never moving and sometimes the lights come on for awhile before disappearing.

I wish someone from AW Tech support would chime in on this topic. There isn't a whole lot out there. And it's got to affecting allot of people.

Also, I doubt the connectors are that fragile that merely taking off the side panel would break the light system. These systems are made to be opened up and worked on.

Thanks. I've made the change and will monitor to se what happens.The thing is I'm seeing the issue on the non-standard side. the one not used to enter the system. I have previously checked to make sure the LED connectors are flush and seated; and they are. Everything is as it should be.

1. Yes, they do seem to "Go Dark" at the drop-of-a-hat, and might end-up working not as you would expect. Drop by here for a possible fix:

2. I think ACoolMan might have had an actual electrical or connection problem. But that's what warranties are for.
 

If you want to push your luck and jack with the side-panel while the power is on, feel free to do so. It's common knowledge that you should not mess with live circuits while the power is on (not everything works like USB ports). Personally, I just take a few minutes to shut-down before changing the orientation of the side panel. Cheap insurance since the LED driver circuit is built-into the motherboard now (not a separate MIO-Board ... but I did it then too). Be happy and enjoy your new Aurora.
