I've tried a number of different drivers to see if I could get a particular game working. Some of them seemed to install ok but most of them weren't stable and none solved my problem. Finally I decided to just go back with the basic drivers from Dell and the machine is very slow. Opening web pages, scrolling text files, playing solitaire, everything is very slow and laggy. If I uninstall the video drivers altogether and just use MS VGA drivers everything is fine (with low resolution). As soon as I install any video drivers it's like the machine is full of molasses. Anybody have any suggestion? I've been using driver sweeper to make sure I'm cleaning out the old drivers completely but that doesn't seem to help.
