Need help about my GPU problems :(

I have had this problem ever since i got my M14xR2, my computer uses only the integrated Intel HD 4000 for everything, never changes to my Nvidia 650m, my system always says that my Nvidia card is not being used even when i run a program that i designated to run with the nvidia card. I have tried setting it as the global card in my Nvidia settings, and also tried launching programs with the nvidia card, no luck. I've also had my motherboard replace twice so i know it isnt that unless i'm just really unlucky.

To sum it up,

I want to use my Nvidia GPU card all time, any can help me?

Here's a couple of things you can try:

First, make sure you've got the latest drivers from our website, follow this guide to Correctly Install both video drivers.

Then, whitelist any program you want to run with the Nvidia Processor.

That should be it, try and let us know :)

Thank you for your help, Luis!

I followed the guide you recommended.

I've also used DirectX Diagnostic Tool to check GPU card. It's showed that the GPU card is Intel HD Graphics 4000

In AlienAutospy, I can not find any information about my Nvidia card, but in the Bios and GPU-Z application, I saw information about Nvidia and Intel, also

So now, I dont know if I solved problem or not and my question is: How can I use Nvidia GPU for all time :(

    Please help me!

In the first picture of the whitelist guide I posted above, under global settings tab, switch it to Nvidia.

Then run the Nvidia Optimus Test Tool to check if it's working.

I find it interesting that this problem on new laptops has been left to the NEW user to fix and not been done at factory

Yes I understand its an Nvidia issue mainly, however its a high-end Dell configured and build laptop.

This Customer is not the only one facing this problem.

I cant even find a Dell person to sell me a Warranty upgrade before my Dell Alienware M17X r4 ships

Under global settings tab, I switched it to Nvidia processor. Then, I use NvOptimusTestViewer64 and NvGPUStateViewer64 to check its state. The result is OFF :(

Could you provide me more solutions?

I will provide the information, if you need  it,  to solve this problem!

    Thank you!
