Blue screen error 0x0000007E when memory stick removed
Every time a memory stick, or the camera, are disconnected from the USB port, I get a blue screen on my Inspiron 530.
Stop Error code: 0x0000007E. Last 2 error codes are: 0xBA4FBAE8, and 0XBA4FB7E4
Any help on how to fix this would be appreciated
Running Windows XP Professional, service pack 3
on Inspiron530 Pentium Dual CPU
2.40 Ghz.

This might be a chipset driver or USB driver problem. Start by downloading the chipset driver for XP onto your desktop from here.
Reboot in Safe Mode (press F8 before Windows starts to load). When you're at the desktop in Safe Mode, double-click the chipset file you downloaded. When it's finished installing, shut down normally and reboot normally.
If the problem persists, manually set a System Restore point, just to be safe. :emotion-5:. Then disconnect all USB devices, except mouse and keyboard. Open Device Manager and expand the list under USB. Right-click and Uninstall all USB devices, starting from the bottom of the list. Then reboot and and let Windows reinstall the USB ports.
