Can't play far cry.

Why can't I play far cry? I play battlefield 2. I have an Apollo FX5700Le. The screen just domes up like bf2 used to. Far cry should work.

When I click on far cry it just goes to a black screen then I push a button on the comuter and it goes back to the desktop. Apollo FX5700Le PCI card.

As csplayer said - install the patch and update to the latest NVIDIA drivers.

Also, make sure you have plenty of system ram. 512 mb is somewhat OK, but the game plays much better with 1 gb.
