CD EXPLODED!!!
what happened? I was installing a game beautifully, when the cd suddenly stopped. i thought this was weird so i opened the drive and the cd was dissintegrated! i'm about in tears. i saved up a lot of money for this system...and this happens. the cd was not cracked. what can i do? how can support help me with this? if i get a non-dell technician to help me does the warranty automatically expire? i've had this sytem for 3 days!!!!!!!
there are still some pieces of the cd i cannot remove. i desperatily need help. i thought this was the ultimate way of not getting too many computer problems...gettin this.

You can usually get a replacement from the game company if you call their support lineand tell them what happened. Try and make it sound more like defective media which caused the drive to unbalance and wobble or something, but they are usually pretty good about stuff like that.- i've taken all the pieces I possibly could out of the drive by tilting the whole machine and now it opens and closes normally..it seems OKAY but i can still see miniature pieces inside, should i still call dell support or get a normal computer technician to empty it out for me?

Call dell or PM Chris to replace the drive before you lose yet another cd the next time the RPMs get high.TurboShane

I seen this same thing on myth busters. They had a hard time repeating your results without using high speed tools.

Please provide me with the following information in a private message so I can fix this. I can only send out a technician to replace the drive. I cannot replace the game CD. You will have to return the game CD and box to where you purchased it -
