Computer Lag issues....
Im having a problem with my computer were it slows down after being left on for roughly 2 1/2 hours. You can see severe lag in mouse movement and loading times as well as the clock on the computer starts slowing down extremely. I can see the difference by checking it with my other clock in my room and the longer it is on the slower it gets. I have updated my RAM thinking that was the problem but now running at 512mb of ram hasnt even helped it. Im running ME but dont think that could be the problem. If anyone has any suggestions it would be of great help.

- I would really take shepherd13's advice, but go with Windows XP. 98se is too old for some of the new drivers. But also, XP is too new for really old games, but I have just learned to get over that. I have XP Professional, and it is even better than 2000 Professional, but not by much. I also have a machine just reformatted and upgraded from Windows ME to Windows XP Home Edition, and it changed my thoughts about that computer being the worst thing on this earth.
Hope everything gets straightend out.
- I am running XP Pro and am experiencing the same problems...not necessarily after a specified amount of time...but certainly if I leave my computer on over night.. when I go to use it in the morning the processes lag. I notice it most clearly in the mouse cursor because when I move it..it will get stuck..then after a delay will jump ahead to where I had continued moving it. If anyone has any ideas I would be quite grateful!
