Cooling
I was thinking about taking out the fan scoop thing (sorry dont know what its called) and get a nice CPU fan and heatsink. Its about $30 and its a good one. Is it worth getting and will it help keep my computer running cooler. The new Geforce 4 I got probably makes the rest of my computer hotter and the air has no where to go because the scoop goes from the exaust fan straight to the heatsink on the cpu. How does the rest of the hot air go out with the scoop there? If I sound stupid and Im wrong...please correct me. Spending the money for the fan isnt really a problem...but will it help or will it make it worse (mess up the air flow or something) Thanks!!

- By putting an after market heatsink and fan on your cpu will keep the chip cooler. The fan on back of the case will vent the air more effectively, thus keeping the other components cooler.Your noise levels will increase with the addition of another fan. The fan shroud used by Dell is for cost cutting purposes, though it does do the job keeping the cpu cool enough to prevent a lockup. JD
