Dell Opt. 170L Boot

Hey! I 'm in a fix. My Dell can't boot.

When I plug in the power cable, the power-on light just flashes yellow; and when I press the power switch, nothing happens. The pweron light keeps on flashing.

What could the problem possibly be?

I forgot to say that I had the problem with a Optiplex GX270.

    Hey,

I had the same problem, but I found a solution.
First you have have to remove the power cable. The you have to wait until the light on the mainboard expires (or you remove the cable from the power supply to the mainboard if you don't have time to wait). Now you have to start the PC. Now it should run.
Power off the PC and plug the battery in.
Now you have to configure your bios, because the settings are erased.
I hope this will solve your problem.

    I'm sorry but today I'm a bit absent-minded.
Of course you have to remove the bios battery after the light on the mainboard expires and before you boot the pc.
