dimension 3000 'e' machine
I'm having video driver problems with this machine (on board video; Intel 82865 or something like that). I'm runninf fine with it disabled, but cant play anything complex like movies. will upgrading the BIOS from A01 to A02 get the video driver issue resolved?

Tomdg,
The Dimension 3000 was produced with two different chipsets. The Springdale chipset and the Grantsdale chipset. There is a combined video driver for both of these available here. It has drivers for both of the onboard video cards.Steve- thankX .. I loaded the Intel 845 G/GL Integrated Video, Intel Grantsdale G, Integrated Video, Springdale G Integrated Video, DriverR77933.exe filethis board look remarkably like the Intel D845HV Socket 478 ATX, Gateway Model: 4000793
that is on eBay. sort of an upgrade model with onboard video slapped on.no go. BigBrother

Tomdg,
You are welcome. The fact that the system was sold with two different chipset / video configurations can make driver installation troublesome. Fortunately, Intel has a combined video driver file which covers both.
