Formatting My Computer..
I have a Dell Dimension 8100 ... And its a piece of ****.. so i want to format it. I want to get rid of everything except for a few things that i will put on disc.. How will i go about doing this .. would i use the XP professional cd.. or could i do it from my comp???

Put everything you want to keep on cd first.Once you formatt the hard drive all data will be lost.JuJu BeanZ

Should I put my files mp3's and such on CD... or when i put the cd in will i be able to choose which things i still want?99bottlesofbeer

Everytime I get a new Dell I always format the drive with a Windows 98 boot disk. After install I add a logical partition (with Partition Magic) to save important data, drive images , and other things to.
