graphics card
I order a visiontek hd7750 graphics card which dell said would work in my 8300xps with a intel core i7 and a 460 watt power supply. I removed all the drivers for the old card, a amd radeon hd 6450 and put in the new card visiontek hd7750 and now it wont boot up what am I doing wrong
I agree with Speedstep. But you can try to confirm it's defective state. Install it in another computer of equal or bigger proportions than yours. Maybe a friends or take it to a shop and have them test it. It's not necessary so if another computer's not available, send it back.

I can't say for sure, but I struggled getting my new 290X to work. There is a very small dip switch on the top of the card. Once I flipped the switch it FINALLY worked. Since they are both AMD cards, it's possible it may work for you.
Your power supply should be sufficient. Do the fans on the card spin when you turn on the power? Mine did, but nothing else happened until I flipped the dip switch.
Be sure to update your BIOS to A06 (the latest BIOS) from the Dell website. Go to Dell support and put in your Service Tag number, then look for downloads. The BIOS is an exe file, just download it and double click on it (very easy). Then reboot... I think.
