I have a HP CD Burner and it has always worked fine. Then the other day it messed up a music cd I was trying to burn. So I did all the normal things like shut everything down and defragged which always worked before, however I wasted about 8 CD's and it just wouldn't work correctly. So... I removed the program " Easy CD Creator by Adaptec" the proper way with add and remove and tried to reinstall. It won't let me even begin the installation. I get a shutdown message. So,,, I also Adaptec DirectCD installed so I uninstalled it also. Now when I try to reinstall I get "Winmm.dll file cannot start check file to determine problem" and thats with every CD I put in my cd player..... I have a real mess now.... Can anyone help.... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
