Help!!!
Hi guys,
I have big problems with my dell dimension E520. I am getting a blue screen with the following text;
Hardware Malfuntion
Call your hardware vendor for support
NMI: Parity Check/Memory Parity Error
The system has halted
Can anyone please advice how to go ahead from here?
Thanks in advance and hope to hear from very soon!
Regards,
Nicklas

Hello Nicklasr,
You will be best served if you contact Tech Support soon, especially if your rig is still under warranty.
If you machine will still turn on, then you will need to enter the Dell diagnostic by hitting the F12 key right after the Dell splash and before Windows starts to load, you will see it say Boot Sequence, drop down to Diagnostics from the Boot Sequence, drop down and run the first test which is Memory Test, and do the extended test. If you get an error code here you will need to write that down and give it to Tech Support.
If you get no error code, continue on to the other tests, and drop down to Hardware tests, you can now test each hardware component, processor, main board (mother board), mouse, harddrives, etc. This will take a lot of time, but you will have to complete this to get the error code so that Tech Support can know what has malfunctioned.
Best wishes,
