Missing Audio From .AVI filles

I am using a Super TV tuner pci card. I have an Dimension 8300 with a SondMax digital card. The problem I 'm having is I can watch tv with sound, but when I capture the video the avi file has no sound. I checked the hardware profiles to see if there were any conflicts, but it showed none.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for the help....

    There is a jumper cable for the audio that goves from the capture card to the sound card. Make sure that this is correctly attached to record the sound to the file.

    The jumper is placed in correctly. I can get audio if I am watching the feed, only when I play the .avi file back, that there is no audio. I check my media player and all of my other volume controls to see if they were either on mute or turbed down. All of that looks ok.

     

    Any additional ideas?
