the normal.dot template can be found at:

If you changed the default drive this will change too.

    C:\Documents and Settings\[Username]\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates

You must delete it while office is closed.

The version of word would be helpful if this doesn't solve your problem

    Hi,

Assuming you are talking about a document in Microsoft Word.

Try deleting all copies of the MS Word template file called normal.dot

restart Word which will recreate the file

If this doesn't work please post back with a bit more information

    Computer model
    Operating System
    Version of Word

Details of virus and spyware scans carried out.
