Numlock key
I am unable to figure out how to configure my XPS8700 to automatically turn on the Numlock key when booting. In the past with other computers I have always been able to make this happen in the system bios but was unable to find the option in my 8700 bios.

Thank you for writing to the Dell Community Forum.
To enable Num lock during startup disable fast startup. Open control panel > Power Plan > Choose what the power button does > Change settings that are currently unavailable > uncheck Turn on fast startup (recommended) and restart your system.
Second option is a registry tweak Press Win + R and type in Regedit in the run window > Navigate to registry key HKEY_USERS\Default\Control Panel\Keyboard > Right click on the “InitialKeyboardIndicators”, select Modify and change Value data to 2 > Exit Registry and restart your system.
