Please Help!

Hello,

I am fairly new and have a question on a problem i am having.  I installed a Geforce 6200 Graphics card into my dimension 3000.  It works great on every game i play except one... On that game the graphics look great but the game is choppy during game play. and seems to have a 1 second delay.  I checked with Nvidia tech support and they said i need to disable my dell video card and that the two are working against one another??  How do i do that and wouldn't my original graphics card automatically be disabled once the new one is installed???  Someone help me.

For someone who is new, you talk more sense than those nvidia techs.  What game are you trying to play that is giving you slide-show frame rates?

Even minimum specs can be misleading.

Check for any patches for the game:

Now the bad news, even though you may be running a geforce 6200 with 256MB of memory or more, the card may be using your system memory as well.  Plus the card may also be a 64 bit card.  That is not good for trying to run modern games.  You really need a card with its own dedicated memory that is a 128bit card.

My other guess is the game is probably a poorly coded $19.95 bargin bin game.
You can't expect much there other than ratchet down the eye candy and set the resolution down to 800x600.

In the future if you want to check and see if your system will run a game, try this program first:
