I get "power blips" while typing e-mail or browsing the web. The screen blips and I have to pull the screen back up from the tool bar to keep typing. Any thoughts?

Why are you calling them "power blips"? Does the monitor screen actually blink or do you just mean the open window suddenly gets minmized and you have to maximize it by clicking it's button along the bottom?
If it's just getting minimized, have you scanned for malware lately? Do you have a firewall running while on line? Is some other program running in the background that's stealing "focus"?
Please be as specific as possible about what happens and what window(s) are open after this happens to email window, and what other applications are running in the backgroun.
