Power Problem

Ok, here is my situation. I have a Dimension 4500. Right now I'm not sure what the motherboard is because I'm at work. There is a cable that goes from the motherboard to the USB Board on the front of the case. The Part Number of this cable is 6N429. I accidently broke this cable. I've searched online for this cable and the cheapest I can find it is $50. I think that is way too much to pay for this cable. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I could find this cable cheaper. Also, is there anyway to "jumper" this board so that I could apply power to at least get my system turned on. The reason I cannot get power is because the Power button on the front of my computer also connects into that USB board. I hope I made this clear enough to understand. Thanks in advance for any help.

OK, I purchased the cable and it was only $4.95, thats great! However its gonna take about a week or so for me to receive it. I was wanting to attempt to jumper the power in the mean time until I get the cable. Any ideas on how to do that? I can't seem to find a schematic telling me which pins I need to jumper.

    rubix138.

That's a Dell proprietary cable, you'll have buy from them, try Dell Spare Parts Phone 800.372.3355. M-F 8 to 5 CDT, have the system's "Service Tag" handy.

No, never had a need to do it, maybe an other poster has the answer.

Dell does not have any pinout schematics on their website.   I wish that they were there, it would certainly help.
I have one for the D4600, but I don't think it would help you.

Happy to hear, that you found the cable.
