PS/2 mouse erratic cursor
Greetings all,
Been using this trackball with this PC for five years now without incident. Seems since downloading network card drivers from the Dell site trying to resolve a network communication problem, my Trackman Marble+ cursor seems to go occasionally berserk, exaggerated moves, opening random windows, etc. This anomaly appeared immediately after this download, which is why I think it's suspect. Nevertheless, I cleaned the lens (internal) as well as the rollers, which I do as a matter of course from time to time. I also verified that the pins on this PS/2 connection were not bent or missing. Another tack, I tried using a different Trackball and the O.E. Dell mouse with the same erratic behavior.
The other computer on this network has no such anomaly which further leads me to believe this is related to that software download. Any ideas on how to find that file and delete it? Or another means to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance :)

Thanks for the tip, my goof. Dell GX 240 Optiplex w/Microsoft XP (SP2)
The mouse driver came straight from Logitech and this trackball has worked fine until this unrelated Network card download. Just yesterday ran the weekly Full System Scan (NIS) with no errors. Going to see how far back system restore will allow.

Always include the PC model and version of Windows in your posts. ;)
<>Did you install the correct driver for your system's hardware? Scanned for malware lately?Your simplest approach might be a System Restore. Pick the last date available before you installed this driver. Personal files will be ok, but any updates or software installed after that date have to be reinstalled (excluding the driver ;) .
<>Click Start>help & support
Click "Undo changes..."
Follow the prompts and pick a recent date before the new driver.
The other option would be to open Device Manager and double-click on your NIC listing. Click Drivers tab and click "Roll back driver" button.
