radeon 9600 SE problems
I just bought a Radeon 9600 SE graphics card. I was finally able to install it, and teh software it comes with. When I attempted to play Half Life (and then a few other games) it starts loading, and then shows the main start up screen for a few seconds, before freezing up. When it freezes, the start up screen is moved to the lower left corner, while the rest of the screen has a bunch of jumbled lines...
Can anyone help me? These are my computers specs:
Pentium 4 CPU 2.4 Ghz
512 MB Ram
51 GB free space on my hard drive.
Anything else you need?

Does this happen with all games? also are all these games that you have tried old, if they are then it might be an idea to go to the game manufacturers website and see if there are any patches available, as some old games aren't compatible with XP and need a patch...

Hi,
Did you uninstall your old card from device manager and your old cards drivers from add/remove progs, prior to the installation of your new card?
Also try updating your drivers from http://www.ati.com/support/driver.html
