RAID enabled?
I want to set up a RAID 0 on my XPS but when I enter BIOS (F2 at start-up) I can't find where to turn it on. I've went through everything with no luck. Am I missing something? I'm pretty sure my PC should have this option. My BIOS is A03 and I have Intel 875 chipset, 82875P memory controller, 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R), SATA and PATA enabled I/O controller. I already have the 2nd hard drive installed, but as a 2nd HD. Thanks...

My XPS Gen 2 purchased Mid Dec 2003 has an options SATA RAID in the setup. When it On or Yes. You do not have access to the two SATA port settings, when it Off you can enable/disable the two SATA ports. It was set to On on my XPS even though I had only one drive initially.
Just prior to entering setup you should see the RAID setup screen. On my XPS I was able to Migrate to RAID Level 1 by just adding another SATA drive and cable. Migration took about 30 minutes if memory serves me right.
You should have a Intel Application Accelerator in the control panel where you configure and can do the RAID Migrration.
