Realjukebox

Can someone tell me why I can't load Realjukebox?
I get one of two messages:

1) GENERAL ERROR: AN ERROR HAS OCCURED. THE INSTALLATION COULD BE CORRUPT
2) REALPLAYER CANNOT CONTACT THE REALNETWORKS AUTO UPDATE SERVER. PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER

Any Advise??

Go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall RP and the Jukebox program, then download a new version of it. If the installation is corrupt then it's just easier to start fresh. There might have been a problem when you downloaded it the first time, or it might have lost a critical file last time your computer crashed.
Since it's a free program it's not worth trying to save.
Personally I use MusicMatch JukeBox, seems more stable than the Real products. WinAmp is pretty good too. Both of these programs are free, and seem to be less invasive to the system than the Real programs.
Good luck and let us know how you do. Ed

Sorry, I should have included the link in my last post, but I was in a rush...
    Here: http://www.musicmatch.com/
That should do it. The latest version is pretty slick and bug-free, but it's a bit pesky about getting you to buy the upgrade package.
    Good luck, Ed.

Thanks Ed. You are not the only person to tell me that about Real products. I'll try your advice.
I used to have MusicMatch before I had to dump my harddrive a while back. Do you know offhand the site where I can download it again?

    Thanks Ed!!!
I'm extremely pleased with my new MusicMatchJukebox. Thanks for the advice! I've talked with the RealJukebox people about 10 times, and they cannot figure out what the problem is
    I GIVE UP!!!

According to most of my friends here, it's just not worth the hassle!

Thanks to everyone who offered advice.

    Donna
