resolution for roxio
I recently reinstalled my roxio as I had uninstalled it by mistake I got it reinstalled but when I started to use it I could not get into any of the programs unless I changed my resolution that is presently 800x600res they wanted me to change it to 1024x768res I dont understand why as it ran ok before at 800x600 except the program for burning dvds I have problems reading the screen at 1024x768 and if I enlarge the text etc.I get a kind of blurry picture can this be put back to the way it was before I goofed up and deleted it ? I tried to email roxio but to get into support I had to give them the cd# and the tsid # of the installation cd I did this and they said the tsid was not recognised I sent them another email and I am still waiting for a reply can anyone help my comp is a dell dimension 8200 intel pentium 4 processer 2.53ghzmemory 1gig hd 80g ext hd 120g windows xp home if I have the wrong forum I am sorry.thank you ,OZZIE37

- There IS an update for V7. Here's the link http://www.roxio.com/en/support/emc/software_updatesv7.jhtmlAnd, I have one PC with Windows XP (Home) and SP2 installed that is set to 800X600 with a CRT Montior and the V7 runs without any video issues. There was never any Roxio notice to set the resolution to a different setting when it was installed or when any of the programs, I've used, were run.
Inspiron 16 5630 Laptop and WD22TB4 Docking StationSelf-built desktop for recording studio application - Thanks again Fireberd I tried downloading the updates and was almost successful till just near the end I get this stupid error message Roxio install error[patch from the roxio site] internal error2920 rx ac wrapper1036.Ing.bd 6408 if-b93c-40f2-b86d-8cba5a9b81c5 I thank you for all your help I guess I will have to see if roxio can fix it but if there is anything else you can think of that I can try I will give it a shot thanks
- Since, from your original post, that you had to reinstall Roxio and had problems since,Download roxizap.exe from the Roxio site, then uninstall Roxio, restart Windows, run the roxizap program to "completely" remove it, restart Windows again and then do a "fresh" install. It's important to do the Windows restarts as noted, do not skip those.Roxio can be a bear to get removed and can cause many headaches. I fought one for about 5 hours at a customer's site (home) before I got it straightened out, and had to use the roxizap program. He had Record Now CD burning software (that came with the PC) but Roxio even had that hung up until I ran the roxizap.exe cleanup program.
Inspiron 16 5630 Laptop and WD22TB4 Docking StationSelf-built desktop for recording studio application - Thanks again fireberd I am sorry I have not answered your last post about the roxizap program that sounds like it could do the trick ,I am waiting for a friend of mine who is a lot more computer wise than I am to install the program on tuesday as I would probably hit another wrong button and uninstall something else I will let you know if everything goes ok thanks again,ozzie37
Sorry for the delay in replying to you but as I said I was waiting for my friend to do the uninstall and then try roxizap he did all that and I am still getting basically the same results the only programs that appear in 800x600 res are creator classic ,disc copier ,and label maker the rest ask for the higher res .I dont know what else I can yry also when I try the dvd creator my screen blacks out then opens up and starts flipping and when I stop it the colors are all different so in the meantime I am using a nero application that came with a dvd burner that I bought so thanks again firberd and if you happen to hear of anyone else that had my same symptoms can you let me know ,ozzie37
