Screen Saver wont work ?? Computer wont IDLE

Ive got a Dimension E510 and it will not go into IDLE my yahoo messenger says Idle but Screen Saver wont work. Computer wont go into sleep mode.. and yes ive check that Screen Saver is turned on and ive checked the power settings.. What else would be causing this ?? i have a Microsoft Wireless keyboard and Mouse set too but i can find any setting for those to keep it from idle. I know a LITTLE bit about computers but not as much as most on here.. Any input would be appriciated.. thanks!

    Try connecting a Wired keyboard and mouse to to see if your computer will idle. If it does, it's the wireless stuff. If not, it's something else.

    So yea i tried the chitty cheepo wired keyboard and mouse that came with it and still no screen saver.. I wouldnt be concerned but im worried about ruining my 19" flat screen. EEEEKK ! Plus i like to watch the fishies

    Also,. make sure your screensave in Display Properties isn't resetting itself to "none"
     
    That's all I know about screensavers. Except what 2 different directories to put them in.
