Speaker problem

i just got my new dimension 4600 and the center speaker isnt playing any audio/sound at all. the green light is on, all the other speakers are fine they all work, the volume settings are all right. none are muted. the center speaker also makes this constant scratching humming noise , so i know its on and is pluggen in, . and i can very faintly hear radio in the background and it is not because of lights are on or anything because everythings off. please help!! thank you

ok the integrated sound plug things are capped off so that means i have optional sound i guess, so my subwoofer is pliugged into there. but what i dont get is that the subwoofer isnt the problem, its just the center speaker

the black connector on the speaker should be connected to the black port and the other speaker connector should be connected to the green port

The sound coming from the speakers is normal.  What I mean is, because the cable running to the subwoofer is carrying electric current, it acts as a natural Antenna for radio and TV signals.  (I once was in the middle of Wyoming listening to a small handheld radio when all of a sudden I started hearing John Candy and Dan Akrkroyd in the movie the 'Great Outdoors'!)  Anyways, you boost the sound level from the center speaker using Creative out of your Start Button 'All Programs' Menu.  You want to click on Creative PlayCenter.  Once there, you click on the audio control button on the top right.  Then on the bottom of the Mixer Control, you can select the 'Center/Subwooer Control.  Once there, you boost the Center Audio, or even the Subwoofer level.
