StepDad got a virus...
My StepDad got the Trojan.gema thing... Not sure really what it does but I looked it up for him and he got it all deleted and such. However, before he noticed he had the virus (before he installed and ran Norton) he was getting an error message immediately after startup that said Iexplorer.exe was not found/unable to startup. (Sorry don't know the exact wording as i'm 2500 miles away and he couldn't tell me for sure, heh... =D)
I've been looking around and between the "iexplore.exe" and "iexplorer.exe" files that people are saying to delete and reinstall/repair blah blah blah...
Anyway, question is, does anyone know how to fix it so that the error message doesn't pop up, or does anyone know what's causing it to pop up? I believe he uses XP Home, but he may be using 98, i'm not sure, heh... Sorry.
Well, that's all the info I have for it, sorry about that, any help would be nice.

It would be a lot easier with the exact error message.
As for the cause, Spyware is the most likely answer. Norton may have tackled the virus, but mal-ware, ad-ware, spyware is all around.
