Upgrade Newbie Question

I have a Optiplex 390 and I need to upgrade the videocard. I am visually handicapped and need this upgrade to run some special software correctly. Someone has recommended the

GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express. I am a little nervous about getting into the guts of this machine but I noticed that it required 400 watts. Looking at the online manual it says this unit only has 25 watts..Am I missing something. I think this card should just plug in.

I am a bit of a newbie to the upgrading world but not to computers. Any help would be just super :)

    Hi Heymate,

Your computer will support any PCI Express x16 graphics card and the system comes with 265Watt power supply (PSU). So while purchasing the graphics card you will need to upgrade the PSU on the system.

Thanks you so much!  Do you have a recommendation for a power supply? 400 watt? is there a special configuration for my unit? again thanks a lot :)

I'd suggest a 7750-based video card, as it should be compatible with the existing power supply.

    Here's one on sale: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127709
