USB 2.0

Why does my system give error messages about using hi-speed port for USb 2.o devices. Are they USB 2.0 systems or not.

My system has the old 1.1 USB port, and I have the newer monitor with a mouse connected to the side that would work faster with a 2.0 USB connection, and I too get the error message or at least an advisory that it would be better to connect this to a USB 2.0 port.  Is this what you get  ?  If I'm right, you may not have the new 2.0 port.  What system do you have ?  Older systems no and newer systems have the 2.0 port, and we must purchase a 2.0 PCI USB card to install in our systems.

    Hi,

I get the same message. It says you can use it just things will work slower. I don't see any difference. My printer work the same with the USB 2.0.
