I just changed a video card in my Dim 8200 and all was well for about 1 week----Then in the morning I booted up [computer was off for 10 hours] I got all kinds of mangled looking letters and numbers--some in color some white the boot up went as normal. The desk top was a mess vertical lines about an inch wide and just a general distortation of icons--yet I could get around ok I rebooted and everything went back to normal--next day same routine same problems--NOTE the computer will run the entire day and is fine DirectX 9.0 says all is well---Ive cleaned the contacts with an eraser [ I have contact cleaner zero residue but have yet to use it] and reset the card--when I reset the card it seemed to go into the AGP slot a little too easy, very little force needed.Ive rebooted a few time today and its OK [max off today was 1.5 hrs]--will see tomorrow if Ive done any good.

Any Ideas ------------the card is a PowerColor ATI 9800SE
