Video primary surface test fails
I just ran Dell diagnostics on my brand new Dell XPS8700 with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 and the video primary surface test fails with an error WCV07-LOH. The Windows 8.1 task manager says that the board has the latest drivers and is working properly. I haven't a clue as to what, if anything, is wrong or what to do about it.

Hi svand,
I’d advise that you update Microsoft .NET Framework on your computer from the link below, then check if you are able to run the test.
Also, disable the firewall and disable the popup blocker on the browser and check if it fixes the issue.
Please let me know if this helps.

- I attempted to run the diagnostic tests you recommended, but the diagnostic installation program froze after the "Installing My Dell Client" step had been checked. I waited over an hour, but the loader never got beyond that point. The same was true for both the "Video Card" test and the "Video Card Stress" test. I just got my machine this past week and I am a little disappointed in having problems so soon.
I had already tried disabling the firewall and it hadn't helped. Installing the .NET Framework update did work and I was able to run the tests. The Video Card Stress Test passed but the Video Card test failed. I was told that US support couldn't help me and I was pointed to a link to a Japanese page which for me was a little less than useful. I guess I'll call Dell here to see if they have anyone who can speak English. I hate to get a new toy only to find out that it isn't working right. Actually, the video card seems to be working fine, as far as appearances go, but something seems to be wrong inside.
The error report says:Primary Surface TestTest StartedError at pixel 0 0 :Warning Message Input color 00555555 not equal to output color 00574242Test Finished Failed (Error code: WVC07-LOH)I just ran Dell diagnostics on my brand new Dell inspiron R17 7737 with an Nvidia GeForce GT 750M and the video primary surface test fails with an error WCV07-LXQ. Hi svand,
I would suggest you to run a video card and video card stress test on the system. Please follow the steps below to run the test on video card on the system.
1. Open the link http://dell.to/14YjKb2
2. Select ‘Hardware’ under ‘Choose a Diagnostic Type’.
3. Select ‘Video card’ and ‘Video Card Stress’.
4. Click on ‘Run Diagnostics’ button.
5. Let me know if the results.
