XPS 5
Hi,
I've got my xps 5 for 3 months now. Since about one month ago or something my computer started to make an irritating noise. I don't know what it is really but from what I've been reading on this forum it would be the fans that are responsible for the (kind a loud) noise.
Also my harddisk is making a lot of noise when I start up my computer .. Is that normal ? I was starting to think 'bout my computer from 1995 with a harddisk that made a lot of noise aswell...
I really am not statisfied with this. Are there any other people who have this same problem with the xps 5 ? And if so .. are there any people who've solved this problem ?
I'm considering to complain to Dell in a few days .. Let's see what they'll have to say 'bout this problem.

Hmm, I hadn't thought about the hard drive... Mine's been getting louder too...
If you know much about working on your computer, I would suggest taking the fan shroud and the black bracket between it and the case out, then putting them back in... Something could have wiggled out of place there. If theres no difference, then call tech support.186

hm .. Yeah, I think I will be calling tech support then.I don't know too much about installing and deinstalling fans ..I only know how to install the memory in to my computer and my harddisk .. I rather stay of the rest ...But thx for the reply's186

Well .. do we have to pay for this new accessory ? Because it's not our fault that dell made his fans that loud, is it ?

If yours is still under warranty it will definately be free, otherwise you might have to persuade the service tech to give it to you ;)
