XPS8100 Bluetooth Problem
I have a problem with the internal Bluetooth on my XPS8100 (Windows 7)
It was working fine & connecting with my bluetooth headset. Yesterday I was using it for a Skype call. Part way through the call the headset disconnected and the bluetooth icon disappeared from the windows tray. Now I cannot find a way to restart bluetooth. Any suggestions? I have tried reinstalling the driver. It gets part way before telling me to press some activation switch - which I can't find.
Bluetooth doesn't appear on the control panel anywhere,

thanks for the tip. this didn't work for me thouigh. Went into the Contol Panel / Device Manager but there is no "Bluetooth Radio" listed
On the "Devices and Printers" I see an Unknown Device that when I select Troubleshoot gives the message "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

thanks again for the suggestion. I have tried this, as has a Dell support engineer. The installation runs so far, then prompts me to press a key to activate the wireless. There isn't a key to activate the wireless so at this point my only option is to cancel the install.
after spending a lot of time on the phone with Dell support they have concluded that its a faulty bluetooth card & my solution is to replace it. the system is under warranty still.

had another call from Dell support last night. after trying the install of the driver again without success they had me go inside the machine, disconnect and reconnect the bluetooth module from the motherboard. result is it's now working!

Sounds like the exact issue I had ...
This is what I did to fix it (you may actually have to re-isntall the driver if it does not appear in device manager after a reboot)
