Battery Issues
Today I opened the back of my computer, disconnected my fan, took it out and blew it out. put everything back together and have since had a weird issue with my battery. The computer says the battery is not charging. However, when I hover over my battery icon it says I have 5479 hr 00 min (82%) remaining. The percent hasn't change at yet, so I would assume that the computer is running off of the AC adapter and not off the battery, but I cant figure out why it would display the huge time remaining. Not sure where to begin to look to resolve this issue, any advice would help a lot. I can run computer off just the battery and no connection with AC adapter and I can run computer with just AC adapter and no battery in. I get no errors regarding the wrong type of AC adapter connection either.
Here is system info

I would remove the battery and see if the system works fine with just the AC adapter. Check the battery LEDs, if they are showing a 1 3 5 pattern, then the battery is defective.
I would also go into the BIOS if you have not already, and check to make sure that AC Adapters errors is not turned off. It probably wouldn't hurt just to reset the BIOS to defaults, then check and make sure that AC adapters is still turned on, then save changes and see if you receive any messages.
If the problem continues test the AC adapter if possible on another system, same for the battery and try to find out if the problem follows the AC adapter, the battery or the notebook.
The AC adapter jack on the system is separate from the system board so if it does look like the problem is with the notebook, you may want to check to see if it is connected correctly. This link to the service manual should be helpful.

Please tell me what you find out.

Does the system run under battery only? For a test run the system under battery only until the battery is discharged, then try charging the battery with the notebook turned off.

The "wiring" will be the system board. And unrepairable. You would need a new board of that is the fault.
Borrow a power brick from someone else and try that. If the centre pin in the DC jack from the power brick is broken, bent or disconnected you get an issue where the laptop runs on mains power but does not charge the battery. If this is the case then normally there will be a message in F2 bios setup about an incompatible adapter. Near any Dell brick with the correct jack will do.
See if you can find another laptop to test your battery in.
It is more likely that the battery has died than the DC-DC part of the system board has failed. But not impossible.
