Hi,

I own a Dell Inspiron 7537 and I use my laptop on the go. I take my laptop with me to college or meeting and I'm quite into keeping my laptop locked well, and by that I mean I don't want anyone gaining access to anything sensitive things like the BIOS or HDD.

Now my problem is that I set a supervisor password in the BIOS and can no longer edit the settings as my mum cleaned out my stuff without asking me and lost it. I feel such an idiot now saying this but i needed to know if Dell would replace the motherboard without question because I cant remember the supervisor password. I do understand the term "If it's not broken then why fix it" but is it best to get it removed anyway? Also my warranty expired in May but I'm willing to pay as this is a *** good laptop and I want it covered again.

I did see thread called Master Password not being given through forum, I'm just wondering if this so called 'master password' works to unlock the supervisor.
