Bluetooth driver for Inspiron 6000

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 which I bought early this year and it has exceeded my expectations and proven trouble free. I have the Dell 350 Bluetooth module installed and use it with a Microsoft Bluetooth mouse. The current driver is version 3.0.1 dated 11/13/2004.

Dell has a newer driver on their site, version 3.03.02 dated 11/10/2005, which I attempted to load on my machine. The installation appeared to proceed normally until it tried to load the Bluetooth stack - a warning appeared stating that it might take 15 minutes to load. I continued but after two hours the stack was still attempting to load and I clicked cancel.

Does anyone have any information or suggestions. Is it even worth while installing the newer driver?

I suspect the best advice here is "don't try to fix what isn't broke".

I think you have it right. Fortunately, system restore worked fine.
