CapsLock LED flashing
Recently, my I8500 has started freezing randomly. I have had it run the extended diagnostics and it passed all tests. Usually, this would strongly suggest a softwere problem - however, when I force a shutdown (by pressing the power button for 10s) and then switch the machine on again within a short time, the screen remains black, the capslock LED flashes 10x and then the machine shuts itself down again. Does anybody know what the flashing capslock LED indicates? When I wait I a few mintues, it will boot again normally.

BTW, I've used the I8K FanGUI utility to observe the CPU, GPU and HD temperature and all of the seem to remain in a none critical region (CPU 45-55degC, GPU 55-62degC, HD 40-45degC).

Yes, it's still under warranty (24h on-site intervention). Called support on Friday morning. They said they didn't know what the flashing LED meant (!!!) but they wanted me to call again the next time the machine would freeze so they could guide guide me through some tests. Of course, the next freeze only happened 10 minutes after support had closed for the weekend (I had already started believing that the hard reset had solved the problem). Oh well...
Thanks for your comments anyway, Beat
