D800- problem displaying correctly on projector

I have not been able to correctly display my presentations on an external "In Focus X1" digital projector. My video card is the NVIDIA GeForce4 4200 Go and the laptop monitor is the WUXGA 1920x1200. The projector has a native resolution of SVGA 800x600 with the capability to handle 1024x768.

Problem is the projector is not displaying everything that the laptop is along with huge fonts. What is going on???

    A friend of mine got one of the Dell D800 systems with the WUXGA screens, and it turns out Dell had set the DPI resolution to 120 DPI instead of the default common DPI of 96. If you go into your Display Properties -> Settings (tab) -> Advanced (button) -> General (tab) You should be able to adjust your DPI setting and set it back to 96 DPI.
     
    I'm guessing your problems are probably related to the DPI setting.
